Uruguay - Colonia del Sacramento

Colonia del Sacramento - one of the oldest towns in Uruguay, just across the river from Buenos Aires.

Iglesia Matriz - the oldest church in Uruguay

Views from El Faro - the lighthouse built in 1857 -

Just to prove that I actually went up the lighthouse

The town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with cobbled streets to amble up and down...

San Miguel - Patron Saint of beer.

There are several old cars parked around the town including a 1930's Ford and a Citroen 11 Ligero 1949.

Siesta time......
