While in Dunhuang it was Ben's birthday, after the essential birthday
cake it was time to go and have dinner in the night market - where
"Happy Birthday" was sung to him.
Surprisingly no-one tried this dish for dinner...
Close to Dunhuang there are the Mogao Caves - a series of Buddist
Temples carved into rocks. Unable to take photos inside so here are a
couple from outside.
A few of us went up to the Crescent Moon Lake and Sand Dunes for an
afternoons entertainment of camel riding, sand boarding and
microlighting. The orange footwear was optional.
