Leaving a bushcamp in Kyrgyzstan very early in the morning it was a
long day of driving (and many checkpoints) across the Tourgat Pass
into Western China.
Our first stop is the city of Kashgar, to see the large statue of
Chairman Mao and to visit the Sunday market........
