China Road Trip - Kashgar to Dunhuang

Views from the truck as we make our way through China..

 

Some roads look like they will lead to a suitable campsite.....

 

........but then you find that a dam has been built across the road.

 

......time to turn around and camp in a carpark, across from some ruins...

We pass through many small towns...

and then up in the middle of nowhere...

 

China is undergoing a massive program of building and electricity pylons are
appearing all over the landscape

 along with large wind farms...

Everything has to be transported by road - even the blades of the wind
turbines...

 

Evening entertainment when bushcamping can be very unusual - one night there
was a fight between two spiders..
